Andrew Schulz roasts Kendrick Lamar over ‘GNX’ diss

Comedian Andrew Schulz has made fun of Kendrick Lamar after being subliminally mentioned on his new album GNX, which was released last month. On the song ‘Wacced Out Murals’, K.Dot rapped, “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no black woman, that’s law.”

The line references comments Schulz made on his Flagrant podcast during a September episode with guests Shxtsngigs. The comedian made derogatory remarks about Black women and stereotypes associated with aggression.

“They shave their hair because they start losing it,” he said. “Because he’s so stressed to be around this black girl complaining all the time. They grow their beard because they need a cushion when they get slapped. I think the black girlfriend effect, it might be a protective instinct.”

Schulz responded to Kendrick’s lyrics by roasting him over incorrect grammar used on the song. “Now, technically speaking, if we’re going off of grammatical English, he is saying I can talk about Black women,” he said.

Kendrick Lamar’s use of the phrase “that’s law” references a line on his Drake diss track ‘Meet the Grahams‘, where he rapped, “Understand, no throwin’ rocks and hidin’ hands, that’s law.”

During his latest podcast episode, Schulz joked about hip-hop music having a history of misogyny, sarcastically stating that rappers are known for their respect towards women. “Listen, rappers are telling comedians we need to be more respectful to women,” he said. “So we need to sit back and reflect … Listen, no one has respected women more through art than rappers.”

He continued, “So I completely understand how a rapper could look at a comedian telling a joke and be like, ‘Yo, you need to switch that shit up. How dare y’all keep saying your wives are annoying. Be more like us, bitches ain’t nothing but hos and tricks, I beat my bitch with a stick.'”

With that being said, Schulz claimed it made sense that Kendrick was working on a live-action comedy film with South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

“He appreciates white comedians that make fun of black people,” he said. “They’ve done that brilliantly for decades, and he wouldn’t want to break one of his own laws. I mean, didn’t they have a character called Token on the South Park show? Which I’m sure Kendrick is a big fan of.”

Schulz also responded to another ‘Wacced Out Murals’ lyric, “The n*ggas that coon, the n*ggas that bein’ groomed, slide on both of them,” referring to his co-host Alexx Media. “If he’s about protecting Black people, why would the cult of violence be towards the Black dudes, not the white guy making the joke?” he questioned.
