Tyler, The Creator shares new track ‘Wusyaname’

Tyler, The Creator has shared a cinematic new track, ‘Wusyaname’.

The new song arrives just days before he drops Call Me If You Get Lost, which was only announced by the rapper last week. Tyler had dropped numerous hints across billboards and on social media before sharing the news with fans that the album was about to be released into the wild.

He then returned with brooding effort, ‘Lumberjack’, which like ‘Wusyaname’, is only two minutes long, it’s full of intrigue, and a welcome return from the Odd Future rapper.

Both new efforts see Tyler show off his rapping capabilities once more, after largely switching to singing on 2019’s Igor, but that luxurious sound we’ve all come to love still exists on the romantic ‘Wusyaname’.

On the track, Tyler raps: “You pick a spot, I pick a tail number and we can be tourists, Let’s go to Cannes and watch a couple indie movies that you never heard of, Listen to bands, groove and we dance, Disco in France, smell some perfume, head in the wind.”

Not only is Tyler, The Creator one of the most sublime musical artists of his generation, but he’s an immense visual storyteller too. The exemplary way he’s managed to create such immense fascination into Call Me If You Get Lost through his videos is utterly commendable, and Tyler is raising the bar not just musically but in a true artistic sense.
