Tupac Shakur murder suspect verbally attacks prosecution in court

Keefe D (born Duane Davis) hit the news in 2023 as he was arrested in relation to the murder of Tupac Shakur. The gangster is the first ever person to be charged with the murder of the West Coast rapper, and while he is still awaiting a trial date, his ongoing case is already one worthy of headlines, as a recent court appearance took a dramatic turn.

On Tuesday, July 23rd, Keefe D lashed out at the prosecution in court, saying that they were using tainted evidence. He continued to yell at them throughout the hearing as he waved his finger at the prosecutors, Binu Palal and Marc DiGiacomo, persistently asserting his innocence.

This isn’t the first time that Keefe D has asserted the evidence being used to link him to Shakur’s murder has been falsified. He continuously denied being in Las Vegas the night that Shakur was murdered and claimed that the evidence being put forward by Detective Greg Kading was fake, forged to make him look guilty rather than painting an actual picture of what happened.

“Greg Kading had them boxes at his house for 15 years in his attic doing all kinds of TV interviews,” said Keefe D, “Them boxes should not be allowed. Them boxes should be allowed. It’s tainted evidence, everything. The man, he broke a proffer agreement and he broke the law, all kinds of stuff.”

The judge in proceedings, Judge Carli Kierny, assured Keefe D that none of the evidence from the boxes he mentioned would be used. This seemed to do more harm than good, as Keefe D then lost his temper and alleged that the evidence in them had already been used against him.

Yelling in court, he said, “They just used something in them boxes… They just used something in them boxes! From 1996. They know that they did it.” He then pointed at the two prosecutors and accused them of being corrupt. “They’re not ugly on the outside, but they’re ugly on the inside,” he said, “These two dudes right here.”

The judge then denied Keefe D’s appeal to make bail. His lawyer, Carl Arnold, filed for a reconsideration, but as it stands, Keefe D remains behind bars. While Music exec Wack 100 offered to pay his bail, the judge denied it, saying, “I also don’t find the defence has met the burden to show that the bail is not connected to Mr Davis ultimately talking about Mr Shakur’s murder. Any evidence contrary is not credible.”

This is a developing story.
