Travis Scott set to replace 21 Savage on Drake's tour

Hip-hop has been speculating who will replace 21 Savage for Drake’s It’s All A Blur’ Canada leg. The culture is convinced that Travis Scott will accompany the Toronto native across his home nation.

Talk about 21 Savage first surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, after news about Drake postponing his Canada tour dates emerged on August 28th. Earlier this month, J Cole replaced Savage at the last minute in Montreal, and now he will be absent again.

The first reason given for 21 Savage’s absence was “technical difficulties”. However, it has been revealed that the Atlanta emcee was never going to perform in Canada as he has a lot of issues concerning immigration. In 2019, the artist was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) due to the revelation he was born in London but had failed to mention.

Brian Cox of ICE revealed to fans that 21 Savage was an “unlawfully present United Kingdom national” who legally entered the States in July 2005 on a visa but remained in the US despite the document’s expiration.

Although Jay-Z stepped in to help the ‘Bank Account’ rhymer, it does mean that he has become extremely wary of immigration and the power they have over him and his freedoms. As such, he decided not to join Drake.

Fans are insistent that Travis Scott is the step-in performer as a picture of Scott’s private jet arriving at Vancouver airport has begun circulating the internet. Furthermore, alleged photos of Travis Scott on stage at the Vancouver rehearsal have been leaked.

Nothing concerning Scott (real name Jacques Webster) has been confirmed. However, fans are eager for the two to perform their Diamond-certified single ‘SICKO MODE’ as well as their most recent collaboration ‘Meltdown’, which appeared on Scott’s latest album, UTOPIA.
