Travis Scott breaks major record with ‘Circus Maximus World Tour’
Travis Scott has broken the record for the highest-grossing solo rap tour of all time with his Circus Maximus World Tour.
The tour saw the Houston rapper on the road for two years in support of his 2023 album, Utopia.
According to Rolling Stone, a Live Nation source revealed that the tour grossed $250 million and sold more than 2.2 million tickets across over 20 countries.
“Rap may have gone backwards this year, but Travis operates outside that sandbox,” the source said. “His engagement is unmatched for live shows, even when benchmarked against global pop headliners and legacy stadium acts. He’s built sustained, unprecedented global demand across music, product, and touring that functions independently of genre cycles.”
They added, “This tour marks the close of a historic chapter. What comes next is being built at a scale far beyond the expectations typically placed on a ‘rap artist.’ He’s moving into a tier with virtually no competition.”
The Circus Maximus World Tour began in October 2023, initially performing in North America across major cities such as Las Vegas, Miami, Atlanta, Detroit, New York City, Boston, Toronto, and many others.
Continuing into 2024, Scott performed in more cities across the US before taking things to Europe, South America, and Australasia.
He performed shows in Kraków, London, Prague, Milan, and Madrid, before heading to Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Mexico City. Then, he concluded the year with concerts in the likes of Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
The shows further continued into 2025 with performances in South Africa, India, South Korea, China, and Japan.
Supporting acts on the tour included Don Toliver, Teezo Touchdown, Sheck Wes, Skilla Baby, Babyface Ray, Yung Lean, and Veeze.
