Travis Scott arrested for disorderly intoxication

Utopia rapper Travis Scott has been arrested in Miami on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing after being forced off a private boat. The lyricist – real name Jacques Webster – was booked into Miami-Dade County Jail on June 20th in the early hours of the morning.

The 33-year-old was allegedly involved in a brawl after he was forced off a charter yacht by its owner in the Miami Beach Marina. However, the intoxicated rapper is reported to have created a scene and law enforcement was called to the dock to restrain him.

According to the police report, Scott “became irate, screaming profanities, left and returned to disturb some more”. The Astroworld creator was made to pay a $650 bond. $500 for trespassing on the private yacht and $150 for his disorderly intoxication.

A mugshot of Travis taken at the Miami-Dade County Jail has begun to circulate on social media, and the arrest comes only months after the ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper was forced to make a statement and apology about the Astroworld tragedy.

Scott has been fighting multiple lawsuits against him following ten deaths that occurred at his 2021 Astroworld Festival after a crowd crush. One of the deaths involved a nine-year-old boy, Ezra Blount, who died shortly after the stampede.

Due to the amount of lawsuits he faced in a November interview with GQ in 2021, Travis revealed he was not in a good place after the order, suffering “rough months”. While making Utopia, he said, “Making music, you think about things that go on in life and things that happen in your life, and you dial in on things.”

He continued: “That moment for families, for the city, it was devastating. And when it came to making, like even finishing the album…I got back into it probably like, I don’t know, months and months and months after.”
