The Game claims hip-hop is missing Drake: “This shit sad”

The Game has claimed that the hip-hop world has missed Drake in the three years since his last solo album.

Drizzy hasn’t dropped a solo project since 2013’s For All the Dogs, but that’s set to change on May 15th with the release of Iceman.

Game recently took to Instagram to defend Drake, stating, “Y’all ain’t appreciate one of the greatest now the absence and silence has the art form down 50 per cent.”

Speaking more about his thoughts with Complex, Game said that nightclubs haven’t been fun since the last time he released music.

“You gotta think… ever since Drake been quiet or chillin’ or not Drake in his usual, the world all fucked up, bro,” he said. “You walk in the clubs, everybody on their phone, nobody looks like they’re having a good time no more.”

He continued, “If you walked in the club today, what song would make you happy about being there right now? Yeat gonna come on and turn y’all up? He gonna turn y’all section up? And I’m not shittin’ on Yeat; I’m sayin’ this is why Drake needs to go up.”

Game went on to claim that listeners don’t appreciate Drake’s music in the lead-up to Iceman being released.

“What are we doing, bro? This shit is sad without Drake in the club. It’s sad, bro,” he said. “But we got Drake out here feeling like we didn’t appreciate him, so now he tucked away working on Iceman, chillin’ like, ‘They don’t appreciate me.’ He should never feel that way.”

Game has praised Drake many times in the past while collaborating on the song ‘100’ from 2015’s The Documentary 2 album.
