Soulja Boy denies raping woman: “That’s a disgusting allegation”

Soulja Boy has denied raping the woman who claims he subjected her to sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, emotional distress, unpaid overtime and a hostile work environment. The ‘Crank That’ rapper (real name DeAndre Way) claims he “never” assaulted Jane Doe while taking the stand on April 1st.

Jane Doe claimed that, while working as his assistant, Way beat, berated and sexually assaulted her during a two-year relationship that sometimes involved consensual intimacy. During one incident, she claimed he raped her in a bathroom when police raided his home in February 2019.

According to Rolling Stone, Way admitted to the sexual encounter but claimed she consented. “I asked her if she wanted to have sex, and she was engaged in it,” he said. “She didn’t push me or say stop, nothing like that.”

When defence lawyer Rickey Ivie asked, “Did you ever hit the plaintiff in the mouth, bust her lip, and force her to give you oral sex?” Way replied, “Of course not, and that’s a disgusting allegation. It sounds crazy to me. I did not do that.”

Way has denied that Jane Doe was ever his assistant, but a video of him shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California, in January 2019 suggested otherwise. He was shown calling out for his “assistant,” but claimed it was because he offered her a free room in exchange for “rolling weed.”

“We were in a public setting, and I didn’t want to refer to her as ‘blunt roller’ with cameras and people around,” Way said. “I thought it more appropriate to call her ‘assistant.’”

Jane Doe recently claimed she felt “dead inside” as a result of the alleged abuse. She added, “I don’t care to do anything or hang out with anyone.”
