Soulja Boy accuser claims she feels “dead inside” after years of abuse
Soulja Boy is currently on trial in California. A woman claims she was subjected to sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, emotional distress, unpaid overtime and a hostile work environment while working as his assistant in 2021.
Jane Doe took the stand for a third day in a row on March 24th, providing more details about the alleged abuse she received.
She claims the rapper (real name DeAndre Way) locked her in a room five times for as little as eight hours and as long as two days without any food. Way denies abusing the woman altogether and claims they were in a romantic relationship.
Last week, Doe said she worked for Way for two years, which involved him beating and raping her and refusing to let her leave his Malibu home. After going to jail for violating his probation terms, they became romantic. However, this allegedly turned to physical, sexual and emotional abuse.
“He would beat me and have sex with me even when I didn’t want to,” the woman testified, according to Courthouse News Service. When asked how the alleged abuse had affected her, she said, “I feel dead inside. I don’t care to do anything or hang out with anyone.”
The testimony was accompanied by alleged text messages, including one she sent to a friend, which read, “I was in too deep n too embarrassed to let anyone know they was right about me doing favors for free n getting shitted on afterwards i was gone look goofy i told anybody how abusive he was n how bad he treated me.”
Cross-examination of the woman is set to continue on March 25th, with the trial expected to end next week.
