Snoop Dogg cancels plans for ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ UK tour

Snoop Dogg has shelved his plans to tour the United Kingdom later this summer.

Originally, Snoop was due to arrive in the UK in 2020 to promote his 2019 album, I Wanna Thank Me, but, the pandemic reset his plans. The dates were rescheduled for 2022, however, Snoop’s work commitments have meant his tour has now been cancelled.

His tour was scheduled to start in Glasgow at the OVO Arena and Snoop planned to visit to Birmingham, London, Leeds, and Manchester before concluding in Belfast on September 16th.

Snoop’s team explained the decision on social media and wrote: “Dear friends and fans, due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects, Snoop Dogg regrets he is cancelling all upcoming non-U.S. tour dates for the remainder of 2022.

“He was excited to see his fans around the world and apologies to all that had already made plans to see his show. He looks forward to rescheduling dates in the future.”

It’s not just the United Kingdom which will be missing out on Snoop, he’s also had to cancel his Australian jaunt, which was due to take place in October and November. However, Perth’s RAC Arena have said it’s “looking likely” the show will go ahead next February, although they are waiting for confirmation.

The Australian leg of Snoop Dogg’s I Wanna Thank Me tour which was set to take place in October and November has also been cancelled. A statement released by Perth’s RAC Arena where Snoop was set to perform says new dates for February 2023 are “looking likely” but yet to be confirmed.
