Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ son gives update on father’s prison condition
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ son has provided an update on the rapper’s condition in prison.
Combs is currently behind bars at the FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, serving a 50-month sentence after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
During a recent interview with TMZ, his son, King Combs, was asked about how his father was coping with prison life.
“He’s good, thank you,” King said after a reporter told him that he and his family were always putting on a united front.
He refused to share any messages on behalf of Combs, but finally said, “Love y’all. Love you. Free pops.”
According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, Combs is set to be released from prison on April 15th, 2028. His release date has been changed several times.
Earlier in April, Combs’ lawyers appeared in court to appeal his conviction and prison sentence. His legal team claimed that he made his own porn, which is protected by the US Constitution.
“Freak-offs and hotel nights were highly choreographed sexual performances involving the use of costumes, role play, and staged lighting which were filmed so Combs and his girlfriends could watch this amateur pornography later,” they said. “Pornography production and viewing of this sort is protected by the First Amendment and thus cannot constitutionally be prosecuted.”
In Combs’ appeal, attorneys argued that the rapper was punished by the judge for crimes he was cleared of. They claim his sentence is four times longer than usual for Mann Act convictions.
