Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ prison release date moved forward again amid appeal

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ release date has been pushed forward once again.

Combs has been behind bars since September 2024 after being arrested and charged with various crimes, resulting in him being convicted in October 2025.

According to People, Combs will now be released from prison earlier than planned, with the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ website stating that he will be free on April 15th.

This is 10 days earlier than his last confirmed date. Previous scheduled dates include April 25th, 2028, and June 4th, 2028.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, having previously been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

Last month, Combs appealed his conviction and asked for an immediate release from prison, with a hearing scheduled for April 9th.

The appeal was filed by his lawyers on March 13th, claiming Judge Arun Subramanian punished him for crimes that he was cleared of. They allege that he gave Combs a sentence four times longer than normal for Mann Act convictions.

Attorneys described the rapper’s punishment as a “perversion of justice,” accusing the judge of engaging in the practice of increasing punishment based on rejected allegations.

They claim Subramanian acted as a “13th juror” by deciding that Combs coerced, exploited, and forced his girlfriends. As a result, they want his “immediate release and grant a judgment of acquittal or at least vacate and remand for resentencing.”
