Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ prison release date revealed
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs was sentenced to prostitution charges earlier this month. Now, the official date for his prison release has been confirmed.
Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in July, before being sentenced to 50 months in October.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons’ online records show that the Bad Boy rapper is scheduled to be released from prison on May 8th, 2028.
Although he was sentenced to four years and two months, he will receive credit for time served having been behind bars since September 2024. According to Complex, if he meets certain qualifications, he only has to serve 85 per cent of his sentence.
Combs is currently located at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and has remained there since his 2024 arrest.
On October 20th, Combs made moves to appeal his conviction. He filed documents in Manhattan federal court and listed Alexandra A.E. Shapiro as his appellate attorney. The case is set to be heard by a three-judge panel, with more information about his arguments expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Last week, it was reported that President Donald Trump was considering pardoning Combs, but the claim was quickly shot down by the White House.
“There is zero truth to the TMZ report, which we would’ve gladly explained had they reached out before running their fake news,” a spokesperson said. “The president, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations.”
Trump has a history of helping rappers in their legal battles, signing pardons for Lil Wayne and Kodak Black in 2021.
