Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mother destroys 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ mother has slammed 50 Cent’s new Netflix documentary centred around her son.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning was released on December 2nd, which is said to “unpack the shocking allegations behind Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his Bad Boy empire, spanning decades of his life and career.”
Following its release, Janice Combs has shared a statement to “correct some of the lies” in the docuseries, claiming there are “inaccuracies” about her son’s upbringing.
Speaking to Deadline, she accused the creators of presenting Combs in a way to “mislead viewers and further harm our reputation.”
“In the documentary, I am portrayed as an abusive parent,” she said. “This is untrue. As I have stated previously, I was a single mother, raising my son, I held three and even four jobs in an attempt to provide a comfortable upbringing and quality education for my child. I raised Sean with love and hard work, not abuse.”
Janice went on to deny statements from her son’s childhood friend, Tim Patterson, about their relationship.
Describing his comments as “not truthful and salacious,” she said, “To the contrary, I loved and nurtured Sean. My memories of Sean growing up are one of a respectful and a diligent child and teenager. Sean has always been an industrious, goal oriented, over achiever.”
She also denied a claim from Bad Boy Records co-founder Kirk Burrowes about her son slapping her following a fatal event at the City College of New York.
Janice called his story “inaccurate and patently false” and alleged he used the tragedy to “incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his.” She asked for the “distortions, falsehoods, and misleading statements” to be publicly retracted.
