Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of slapping mother and calling her a “bitch”
Various allegations about Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs have come to light in 50 Cent’s new Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
In one scene, his childhood friend and Bad Boy Records co-founder, Kirk Burrowes, claimed that he witnessed Combs slapping his own mother and calling her a “bitch.”
Burrowes alleged the incident took place after she approached him over a fatal stampede at an event Combs promoted in New York City in December 1991. Nine people died in a crowd crush at a celebrity basketball game at City College of New York in Harlem.
In the first episode of the docuseries, Burrowes said, “He didn’t know what was going to happen. And I saw Janice question Sean. He’s going into this music business thing. He just left school, and now this extreme tragedy has occurred. She’s like, ‘Did he make the right decision?'”
He added, “I saw him put his hands on her. Call her a ‘bitch’ and slapped her. He’s not looking back.”
A title card in the documentary stated that Combs didn’t respond to the allegations about him assaulting his mother.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning is said to “unpack the shocking allegations behind Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his Bad Boy empire, spanning decades of his life and career.”
However, Combs’ team have slammed the documentary, describing it as a “shameful hit piece” from someone with “a personal vendetta who has spent too much time slandering” the Bad Boy rapper.
They admitted they were “deeply concerned” about the series using footage of “private moments, pre-indictment material from an unfinished project, and conversations involving legal strategy.”
