Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ to be released from prison early
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs will be released from prison earlier than scheduled after his release date was moved forward.
Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last year and sentenced to four years and two months behind bars.
However, the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ website has revealed that Combs will be out of prison on April 25th, 2028, rather than June 4th, 2028.
Combs’ release date was initially set for May 8th, 2028. Then, in November 2025, it was changed to June 4th, 2028. The Bad Boy rapper was previously held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn before being moved to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey in October 2025.
It was reported that prison violations were the reason for his release date being pushed back, but his team denied the claims.
He was accused of being caught with homemade alcohol, made of Fanta, sugar, and apples, as well as making a forbidden three-way call with two family members.
His spokesperson said, “There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr Combs. He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”
The statement continued, “This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumours will surface throughout his time there. We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.”
Speaking on prison life in November, Combs said, “There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing. It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”
