Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs speaks on prison life for first time
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs has spoken out about life in prison for the first time since he was arrested in September 2024.
The Bad Boy rapper is currently behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after being hit with a 50-month sentence in October.
Speaking to TMZ, Combs gave an honest account of life behind bars following the Thanksgiving celebrations.
“There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison,” he said. “There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing. It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”
The message from Combs comes after he organised Thanksgiving meals for 1,000 inmates inside the prison.
Teaming up with the internal group, Bankroll Bosses, he bought food and spent two days cooking and delivering it to each housing unit.
“Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat,” Combs said. “Everybody misses their family. People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”
Former gang leader, B.I., who helped organise everything, added, “We cooked the food and sent it to all the buildings. Enough for about 200 people each building. It took two days to prep everything.”
Due to the lack of utensils available to inmates, they prepared the food by using ID cards for cutting.
Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and is scheduled to remain in prison until 2028.
