Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ depressing Thanksgiving prison meal revealed
Despite his recent appeal for bail, Bad Boy founder Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs still remains in jail and sits behind bars in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre. That said, he will spend Thanksgiving in the facility, and it has been reported that one of the most delicious meals they will be serving is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Combs is being held on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution due to the court’s insistence he is a flight risk. Although the musician has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, he will still be in jail for Thanksgiving.
As reported by People magazine, which obtained the Detention Centre’s Thanksgiving menu, on the day, a limited amount of fruit, cereal, and pastries will be available from 6am. Combs’ lunch will most likely feature turkey roast or hot and sour tofu, accompanied by sides like mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, and cranberry sauce.
However, many are shocked by Combs’ Thanksgiving dinner. From 4 pm, the jail canteen will serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, whole wheat bread, and fruit. Combs most likely won’t be seeing his family, sitting around a table with familiar faces, or getting the sweet smell of pumpkin pie.
On November 22nd, the court heard arguments put forth by Combs’ legal team about why he should be released on bail. Prior to the hearing, his team had described the terms as more robust and insisted any release would include the enforcement of nonstop security monitoring and a complete restriction on Combs’ ability to communicate with anyone but his lawyers.
On November 25th, the presiding judge, Arun Subramanian, revealed that he needs more time to decide whether or not to grant Combs bail as he still may be too much of a flight risk, and Subramanian is still battling with this. As such, Combs is destined to spend Thanksgiving behind bars which is what many of his lawyers were hoping wouldn’t happen.
Still, for now, it is unknown when he will be summoned to court to hear whether or not he will officially be granted bail. On November 26th, it was announced that Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, had found an apartment for Combs on the Upper East Side in Manhattan that would be “more restrictive than in the MDC.” However, even with the promise of “three security guards and no access to phones or the internet, except for calls from his legal team,” Combs will evade Thanksgiving in prison.
