Ray J arrested after allegedly pulling gun on ex-wife during live stream
Ray J was arrested this week and charged with making criminal threats. The singer (real name Willie Norwood) was brought into custody after allegedly pulling out a gun on a live stream.
The 44-year-old, best known for his 2005 song ‘One Wish’, was detained on November 27th at around 4am in the Porter Ranch neighbourhood of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the whole incident was captured on a live stream. Ray J said he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the fucking world,” alleging that he was being threatened and someone was trying to take his kids.
Then, he appeared to grab a pistol and load it, before saying, “If these n*ggas step foot close to this door, I’m going to blow this fucking shit away, bro.”
After leaving the camera’s view, he was seen yelling at someone and telling them to get out of his house for “trespassing.”
His ex-wife, Princess Love, entered the room and said she was taking their kids. She then accused him of pointing a gun at her and their daughter, before Ray J alleged that she and her cousin were drunk.
Love called Ray J a “woman abuser” before a man confronted him. The singer threatened to “shoot the fuck” out of him, adding, “I’ll kill you. Get out of my house before I shoot you right now. I got a gun on me.”
Police sirens were then heard in the background of the stream alongside the sound of a crying child.
Ray J was taken to a local jail and released a few hours later on $50,000 bond, and is set to appear in court on December 19th.
