Pooh Shiesty’s father released from jail in Gucci Mane kidnapping case

Pooh Shiesty‘s father has been released from jail in the Gucci Mane kidnapping case.

Lontrell Williams Sr was arrested in April with others for allegedly robbing and kidnapping the Atlanta rapper at gunpoint.

According to Action News 5, a judge ordered Williams Sr to be freed following a hearing on May 27th. Any temporary stay was lifted, and he’s set to be released from custody.

Williams Sr was arrested alongside Shiesty, rapper Big30, and six others over the alleged “armed takeover.”

US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, claimed that the incident involved Gucci being forced to sign a contract to release Shiesty from his record deal.

“Williams Jr produced an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint,” Raybould said. “The remaining conspirators displayed firearms and robbed the other victims of Rolex watches, jewellery, cash and other high-value items. One of the victims was actually choked by one of the victims to near-unconsciousness.”

A co-conspirator allegedly barricaded the door to prevent the victims from leaving the building.

Shiesty, his father, and Big30 all pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. A jury trial is scheduled for July 6th.

Gucci Mane responded to the incident in a Zaytoven-produced song called ‘Crash Dummy’ that arrived in April. In the first verse, he raps, “Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy/ And after all that, boy, you still signed to me.”

Speaking on the incident, he said, “I thought it was a business meeting, but it was a set-up/ I walk in the room, you can feel the pressure building/ N*gga dapped me up, the whole time they plotting against me.”
