Pooh Shiesty’s father and Big30 plead not guilty in Gucci Mane kidnapping case

The father of Pooh Shiesty and rapper Big30 have pleaded not guilty in the Gucci Mane kidnapping case.

In April, Shiesty was arrested alongside his dad, Lontrell Williams Sr and Big30, as well as six others, for allegedly kidnapping and robbing Gucci Mane at gunpoint.

The incident allegedly revolved around Shiesty forcing his label boss to sign a contract to release him from his record deal at gunpoint.

According to Action News 5, Shiesty’s father and Big30 entered a not guilty plea to charges relating to kidnapping and robbery on May 1st.

The alleged incident took place in January and has been described as an “armed takeover,” with the door was barricaded to prevent the victims from leaving the recording studio.

In a statement, US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, said, “[Shiesty] produced an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint.”

He added, “The remaining conspirators displayed firearms and robbed the other victims of Rolex watches, jewellery, cash and other high-value items. One of the victims was actually choked by one of the victims to near-unconsciousness.”

Gucci Mane released a diss track titled ‘Crash Dummy’ last month, which shared his thoughts on the incident.

He raps, “Some people like to take a n*gga kindness for weakness/ I pulled up on business, but y’all was on some weak shit/ The artist and the CEO, I wear a lot of hats/ They smile in your face, then they stab you in your back.”

Big30 released his latest album, Still King, in May 2024. He has over 2.1 million monthly Spotify listeners; his biggest song, ‘Neighbors’, is a collaboration with Shiesty that boasts 106,000 streams.
