Playboi Carti Shares his new single 'EvilJ0rdan'

Playboi Carti has released a new single as he prepares to release his upcoming album. The track has also arrived with an accompanying music video that sees the Atlanta emcee drinking out of a Hello Kitty mug while he raps in a kitchen wearing his durag.

The ‘Magnolia’ musician wears his durag in different styles throughout the video and, in one segment, styles it in the shape of bunny ears. The lyricist (real name Jordan Carter) also holds up a vinyl copy of Mr. Bungle’s The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo reissue.

The track entitled ‘EvilJ0rdan’ is the latest of a series of singles that Carter has been releasing recently, such as ‘Backr00ms,’ ‘H00dByAir,’ and ‘Different Day.‘ Carti shared a clip for the music video via his secondary Instagram account @opium_00pium.

Carti has been absent as of recently and, in 2023, only appeared on the single ‘Popular’ with the Weeknd and Madonna. Although Carter hasn’t announced an official project release, these singles are presumably taken from his upcoming third album titled I Am Music.

Although it hasn’t officially been announced, the upcoming LP will be Carter’s first since his 2020 project, Whole Lotta Red, which boasted tracks such as ‘Go2DaMoon featuring Kanye West and ‘Teen X’ featuring Future.

‘EvilJ0rdan’ is the infamous DJ Swamp Izzo snippet that was uploaded to social media long before “UR THE MOON” was released. Carter’s fans were begging the emcee to release the song for a long time, and now they have their wish.

Although things seem to be going well for the lyricist, last February, Carti was arrested for allegedly assaulting and choking his pregnant girlfriend. He is also rumoured to appear on the new Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign album, Vultures, which has only been previewed at exclusive listening parties.
