Playboi Carti and Travis Scott release video for 'Backr00ms'

Playboi Carti has returned after a long hiatus, and fans are excited. Late last year, the Atlanta emcee teased fans with a series of snippets and clips uploaded to social media. However, he then released a surprise single, ‘UR THE MOON (Different Day).’

Earlier in the year, he featured on The Weeknd’s single ‘Popular’ alongside Madonna, but he has now released a brand new track and video alongside Texas lyricist Travis Scott.

Many of his counterparts expressed excitement about his re-emergence, including The Weeknd, Nav, Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson, to name a few. His latest song featuring Travis Scott, entitled ”Backr00ms” is the first feature he has done since the release of Kid Cudi’s ”At the Party” from Insano.

It is also one of Sctt’s first features since he released his July album Utopia. ‘Backr00ms’ features other less-known creatives, including Sexisdeath and Indiana420Bitch. In the snippet released by Carti (Jordan Carter), the video shows scenes of Carti showering a stripper with money as he raps in a garage near an SUV.

‘Backr00ms’ is the fourth time that Playboi Carti and Travis Scott (real name Jacques Webster) have collaborated on a track. On Utopia, the pair worked on ‘FE!N’. On 2018’s Die Lit, the duo appeared on ‘Love Hurts’, and in 2017, the two released a stray single ‘Green & Purple’.

Carti hasn’t revealed any more about an upcoming project. However, fans are speculating that the two tracks he released last year, ‘2024’ and ‘Different Day’ may appear on the project.

Carter’s last album, Whole Lotta Red, came out in 2020 and featured contributions from the likes of Kid Cudi, Future and Kanye West. There has been no more information from Carti.
