Owen Wilson performs with Travis Scott at Rolling Loud
Owen Wilson joined Travis Scott on stage at Rolling Loud for a surprise performance over the weekend. The Houston rapper was headlining the festival in Miami on December 14th when the actor was welcomed onto the stage towards the end of the show to perform ‘FE!N’.
The superstar actor, best known for his roles in films such as Wedding Crashers, Zoolander and Starsky & Hutch, joined Scott for not one but five performances of the hit song from his Utopia album. The rain was pouring down throughout the set, with Wilson shouting, “I’m feining for more!” and rocking out on stage.
The appearance comes shortly after Deadline reported that Wilson would be starring in a father-son comedy movie titled Rolling Loud, set at the titular festival. Wilson is set to take on the role of an overprotective father making a bold parenting decision when his 13-year-old son sneaks into the world’s largest hip-hop festival.
Inspired by a true story, the upcoming film will be directed by Jeremy Garelick, who was previously behind The Wedding Ringer, The Binge and most recently, Murder Mystery 2, with Matt Rife also starring opposite Wilson.
‘FE!N’ was self-produced by Scott and features Playboi Carti, with the song peaking at number five on the Hot 100 and at 13 in the UK Singles Chart. The track is currently his most popular song on Spotify with well over a billion streams.
Rolling Loud is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, with the Miami event also boasting performances from Carti, Future, Rick Ross, Lil Baby, Metro Boomin, Lil Yachty, Shaboozey and Tyga. Scott’s set saw him perform other hits such as ‘Butterfly Effect’, ‘Highest in the Room’, ‘Sicko Mode’, ‘Antidote’, ‘Goosebumps’ and ‘Telekinesis’.
Following the release of Utopia last year, Scott recently announced that new music was “on the way.” This came after revealing he was in “album mode” back in September.
As for Wilson, he most recently starred in 2023’s Haunted Mansion alongside an all-star cast that included LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito and Rosario Dawson. He also stars as Mobius M. Mobius in the Marvel series Loki on Disney+.
