Odd Future member questioned by police over Jamie Foxx assault
Earlier this month, Jamie Foxx was assaulted in Los Angeles, and now, the police have questioned former Odd Future member Jasper Dolphin regarding his alleged connection to the incident.
Foxx was assaulted at a restaurant earlier this month while he was dining with his daughters and ex, Kristin Grannis, at Mr Chow in Beverly Hills. The initial report that came to police was that a fight had broken out outside the restaurant.
It was said to the public that someone threw a glass in Foxx’s direction that hit him in the mouth, and, as such, the star was forced to get stitches. Still, no more information has come to the forefront. The incident took place on December 13th.
Media outlet TMZ reported on December 26th that the debacle began with a Jackass stunt gone wrong that saw an unknown individual point a penis-shaped laser at Foxx’s table at various times during his birthday dinner. The actor, singer and producer allegedly didn’t react well to this prank and walked over to the culprits and asked them to stop. However, things only escalated from there.
One person who joined the Jackass show cast is former Odd Future rapper Jasper Dolphin who appears and raps on the 2012 Odd Future hit ‘Oldie’. He began appearing on the show in 2021 and has been a recurring star ever since. However, he was allegedly present at Mr Chow on the night of the fight. As such, police have begun questioning him about his potential participation.
Dolphin is yet to comment on his alleged connection to Foxx’s arrest.
In other Foxx news, the comedian recently released a stand-up special What Had Happened Was…, which hears him revisit his 2023 health scare when he revealed he suffered from a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
During the special, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is referenced as, shortly after news broke of Foxx’s health scare, many tried to suggest it was an unsuccessful hit by Diddy. However, Foxx made sure to assure people that was not the case.
In the special, he states, “The internet said that Puffy tried to kill me. That’s what the internet was saying! I know what you thinking – ‘Did he?’ Hell nah, n*gga. I left them parties early. I was out by nine, n*gga. Something don’t look right. It’s slippery in here.”
He throws in a few more jokes about Combs throughout the special as well. When discussing his nearly fatal stroke, he says, “I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the devil-like, ‘Come on.’ Or is that Puffy? I’m fucking around.”
