Nicki Minaj wants to work with Kehlani

As Nicki Minaj gears up to release new music, she has been busy previewing tapes in hip-hop circles and called upon various esteemed artists, including Kehlani and Jhené Aiko, to collaborate with her on a forthcoming project.

The rapper recently previewed one of her new tracks on social media on September 7th and added that she would love some help to work it into the finished composition that she is hoping for it to be.

Minaj pleaded for her fans to rally Keke Wyatt, Tamar Braxton and Brandy into featuring on her work so that they could redo the vocals from the snippet she posted. Writing: “[I’d] love to hear people who can really do it. Once I have the acapella vocals I’ll put [something] smthn special together with it.”

Minaj later added that she hopes to have further guest vocals on the album in the form of, “Summer, Jhené & Kehlani can be good in the blend as well with their harmonies.”

Kehlani then responded to Minaj in a rather confused fashion, and Minaj got back to her writing: “Just challenging 6 gurls to redo that lil thing I sang. It’s on my story. Then I’ll take the a cappella & put together a lil Smthn.”

As of yet, Summer Walker has been the only star to affirmatively respond to Minaj’s public request for collaboration, simply replying, “I’d love to do that.”

It is not known when Minaj’s latest project will come to light or exactly how far along she is with it. However, clearly, she has made it very publicly known that something is in the works.
