New York rapper sentenced to 14 months in Florida prison on firearm charges

New York rapper Dthang has been sentenced to 14 months in a Florida prison.

In January, the 23-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, shooting or throwing a deadly missile, discharging a firearm in a recreational area, and criminal mischief.

According to records acquired by No Jumper, the Bronx rapper will spend the next 14 months behind bars in Florida.

He was sentenced to prison time on May 27th, while also being hit with four years of probation upon his release.

Dthang is signed to French Montana’s Coke Boy Records. He joined the label in January 2024, boasting 517,000 Instagram followers and 364,000 monthly Spotify listeners.

His biggest song on Spotify, ‘Talk Facts’, has over 40 million streams. Other big tracks include ‘Gzz Box’ with 27 million streams and ‘Bunny Hop’ with 18 million streams.

Dthang was previously arrested on gun and drug charges in September 2025 during a traffic stop. He was charged with cocaine possession, cannabis possession, and firearm possession as a convicted felon.

The rapper was released from prison in January 2024 following his arrest in 2022 as part of an indictment against Bronx gang River Park Towers. He was sentenced to three to five years behind bars, but was released in 2024.

During an interview with On the Radar Radio in 2021, Dthang claimed he and his crew are the reason why the Bronx drill scene is getting attention.

“I’m different,” he said. “Way different. And I started it. I can’t say I started it – all my friends, they locked up right now – we started this. When we started, that’s when everybody, the whole Bronx- I’m the reason the whole Bronx lit right now.”
