Bronx rapper DThang arrested on firearm, cocaine and cannabis charges

DThang has been arrested on multiple gun and drug charges in Florida. The Bronx rapper, who is signed to French Montana, was detained over the weekend.

The 23-year-old (real name Daniel Collins) was taken into custody at Miami-Dade County jail on September 27th following a traffic stop.

According to the Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, he was charged with cocaine possession, cannabis possession, and firearm possession as a convicted felon.

DThang, also known as DThang Gz, is being held on $5,000 bond. He was only released from prison in January 2024 following his 2022 arrest as part of an indictment against Bronx gang River Park Towers.

He was sentenced to three to five years behind bars, but was released last year. A total of 34 alleged gang members were charged with conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, attempted assault, animal cruelty and criminal possession of a weapon, among others.
