Mother of Playboi Carti’s child, Iggy Azalea, hasn’t heard from rapper for months
The mother of Playboi Carti‘s child, rapper Iggy Azalea, recently revealed that she hasn’t heard from the ‘Magnolia’ emcee for months and no longer speaks to him, suggesting the former couple are on terrible terms.
Azalea recently appeared on a livestream alongside Amouranth. To her surprise, people were more interested in her ex-boyfriend than her and asked her for details about him and when he plans to release new music. One fan demanded she relay the message to him that fans want him to drop his highly anticipated album, but she bluntly responded by telling the Twitch user that he hasn’t been in touch with her for a significant amount of time.
While reading the chat, Iggy told the host, Amouranth, what the viewers were writing, and during the stream, stated, “Someone’s saying, ‘Tell Playboi Carti to drop.'” In response, the ‘Fancy’ rhymer simply told the user, “I don’t speak to him, my love.”
Referring to herself and their son, Onyx, she continued, “We haven’t heard from that man in over like, six months. We don’t know where he is. Have no idea, have no association. You would have to tell somebody that speaks to him, wherever he is. We don’t know or care.”
Iggy and Carti went their separate ways in 2020, shortly after their son was born. Still, she has insinuated on numerous occasions her disgruntlement with Playboi Carti’s fatherhood methods.
During her appearance on the Dinner’s On Me podcast, Iggy said about her parenting predicament, “I’m very much a single mother. I’m very much the only parent. No disrespect, but I am not co-parenting right now and that’s just the reality of it. It’s one, it’s 24/7.”
In 2023, Carti indirectly responded to the multiple claims that Azalea had made about him by releasing a mini-documentary named Dear O, which contained home video footage capturing sweet moments between him and his son.
However, Azalea responded on X asserting that the short documentary demonstrates the little time he spends with Onyx, writing, “It’s cool how you can fit damn near every visit into just one video [white heart emoji] Talented!”
