Denzel Curry is "sick" of waiting for Playboi Carti's album

Former Raider Klan member and Nostalgic 64 legend Denzel Curry has announced that he is tired of waiting for Playboi Carti’s upcoming album, I AM MUSIC. The Miami emcee took to Twitter/X on January 20th to address Carti (real name Jordan Carter).

Highlighting the consistent hold-ups in Playboi Carti’s album rollout, Curry wrote, “Sick of this n*gga Carti pump faking man just drop the damn album.” The Planet Shrooms lyricist is a self-proclaimed Playboi Carti fan.

The tweet from Curry, a 2016 XXL Freshman, comes after Carter’s announcement that his project won’t arrive anytime soon. In December, prominent podcaster DJ Akademiks declared, “Playboi Carti… album coming JANUARY! will be the greatest thing you ever heard.”

During a Twitch livestream, Akademiks (real name Livingston Allen) backtracked on his Christmas announcement, stating, “The talk was that Carti would still be dropping this month. I don’t know if he’s gonna just move the date back… At this point, I think he’ll probably move the date back.”

Although the release has been pushed back yet again, the upcoming LP will be Carter’s first since his 2020 project, Whole Lotta Red, which boasted tracks such as ‘Go2DaMoon featuring Kanye West and ‘Teen X’ featuring Future.

The Atlanta rhymer has released a series of singles recently, such as ‘Backr00ms,’ ‘H00dByAir,’ and ‘Different Day’, all of which have sent shockwaves through hip-hop as he returns from a three-year hiatus.

Although things seem to be going well for the Carti, last February, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting and choking his pregnant girlfriend. He is also rumoured to appear on the new Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign album, Vultures, which has only been previewed at exclusive listening parties.
