Morray and Polo G team up for 'Trenches' remix

American rappers Morray and Polo G have collaborated on a new remix of the song ‘Trenches’. The track originally appeared on Morray’s debut mixtape Street Sermons released earlier this year.

Polo G has been having himself quite a year. He released his breakthrough album Hall of Fame in June, which contained his first Billboard number-one single with ‘Rapstar’. He was arrested a day after the album’s release after allegedly getting involved in an altercation with a police officer.

Polo G then collaborated with Gunna on the latest release from Kawhi Leonard’s Culture Jam project, ‘Waves’. Easy, Polo G, save some news for the rest of the rap world.

Morray retains his soulful singing-rapping vocal style behind the trap beats that colours much of Street Sermons, extolling the better parts of the American ghetto that many turn a blind eye to. “You don’t need the type of things on TV/ Everything ain’t always what it seems/ Everything is easier if you believe.”

Meanwhile, Polo G gets to bring his own personal experiences to the fore as well. “You can beat the system/If you street and book smart, checkmate/Posted on them corners/He just waiting on his death day.”
