Metro Boomin announces follow-up to 'We Don't Trust You'

St Louis producer Metro Boomin recently released the first instalment of his joint album with Future, We Don’t Trust You, and has now set a release date for the release of the album’s sequel, We Still Don’t Trust You.

The recent project spawned several top ten hits and even a number one in ‘Like That’ featuring Kendrick Lamar. Taking to Twitter/X, the producer alerted fans that they should prepare for the follow-up, writing, “Job’s not finished 4/12/24 @1future.”

The beatmaker also posted a video that sees the two artists dressed in all white in a pitch-black studio, with eerie music playing in the background, as their photos glitch and distort.

Earlier this month, the musician (real name Leland Wayne) followed in the footsteps of Travis Scott, who, last year, told fans he would be performing at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Boomin told followers he would be visiting Egypt by posting a comic-book-inspired cartoon of him in front of the enigmatic world wonders as well as the Great Sphynx.

With mind-blown emojis, Wayne wrote, “In other news, I’m doing a show at the Pyramids in Giza.” The performance is scheduled to take place at the Kundalini Grand Pyramids, an open-air music venue located at the base of one of the Great Pyramids on April, 30th.

Wayne has recently revealed that, in his opinion, he believes that MCs are scared to promote and support We Don’t Trust You because of the disses aimed at J Cole and Drake. The only artist who has publicly endorsed the pair is Travis Scott, who brought them out at Rolling Loud California.

Taking to Twitter/X, Boomin’ wrote, “I see a lot of n-ggas been scared to post the album too [crying face emojis] #IForgiveButIDontForget #WEDONTTRUSTYOU [no pedestrians emojis].”

Fans have speculated that the post was aimed at 21 Savage, who has collaborated heavily with Metro Boomin and recently released Her Loss, a joint album with Drake. You can see Wayne’s posts below.
