Megan Thee Stallion announces upcoming new personal documentary
Megan Thee Stallion has overcome a lot in her life thus far. From the 2019 death of her mother to her 2020 shooting, the Houston native is on somewhat of a hot streak. That said, the ‘Hiss’ rhymer had some good news for her fans recently as she announced the release of her upcoming documentary, MEGAN THEE STALLION: IN HER WORDS.
The documentary is planned to arrive on Amazon Prime Video on Halloween, the same night Megan is throwing her Hottieween fundraising event in Chicago. All the party’s proceeds will go to the ‘Pete & Thomas Foundation’, a charity for underserved communities in Houston.
The documentary has sparked a lot of speculation, as many predict that the tell-all docu-series may revisit the emcee’s tribulations fighting Tory Lanez in court, a battle that resulted in the singer’s incarceration.
Variety magazine suggested that the film will focus on the rapper’s life over the last couple of years and show both the highs and the lows. Taking to social media, on October 14th, Megan Thee Stallion unveiled the artwork for the documentary, writing, “Hotties my documentary is out Oct 31st💜 I’m nervous and excited for yall to see it butttt it’s finally here 🥹”
The director of MEGAN THEE STALLION: IN HER WORDS, Nneka Onuorah, is the same director who produced the amazing Lizzo documentary Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. Which was received extremely well.
Megan Thee Stallion fans are extremely excited about the Halloween release, and one user commented, “One thing about Megan is she doesn’t let anybody stop her shine.” Others are speculating about Meg may share, with another witing, “I just got goosebumps because I know you’re gonna talk about your mom and that angel has been with you this whole time ❤️”
Furthermore, supporters are more than keen to learn more about their idol, one fan posted, “I’m really actually looking forward to seeing what your life is like! And to get to know you more! Love you bae! 👏🏾💯” Y’all won’t have to wait too much longer, so stay tuned! We know we sure will be!”
