Megan Thee Stallion and Reneé Rapp release new single

Megan Thee Stallion has released a new track alongside vocalist Reneé Rapp for the forthcoming movie Mean Girls. Entitled ‘Not My Fault,’ this is the first time the two have collaborated.

As well as being a musical theatre singer, Rapp is also an actor and plays the role of Regina George in the upcoming film. This movie is not the only one Megan Thee Stallion has worked on this year.

Earlier this year, the Houston emcee (real name Megan Pete) released ‘Out Alpha The Alpha’ for the soundtrack of A24’s Dicks: The Musical, in which the rapper featured playing the role of Gloria Masters.

More recently, the lyricist has also released a track for the new Colour Purple movie. Entitled ‘Hell No! (Timbaland Remix)’ unlike previous soundtrack singles, Pete does not feature in this motion picture.

Last month, Pete dropped the music video for her single, ‘Cobra’. The track was the first the artist had released since she officially settled outside of court with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Since then, according to Billboard, Megan has signed a new distribution deal with Warner Music Group.

Although Pete has signed a distribution deal, she is still releasing her material through Hot Girl Entertainment. Following her dispute with 1501, Pete declared she was going to be independent for a while,

This latest track featuring Reneé Rapp is the first the singer has released since she unveiled the deluxe version of her debut studio album, Snow Angel, which hit streaming platforms over the summer.
