Lil Wayne shows up two hours late to New Hampshire concert
Lil Wayne reportedly showed up two hours late to a concert in New Hampshire last week.
Weezy is currently touring the US on his 20 Years of Carter Classics Tour and had a show at the BankNH Pavilion in Gilford on July 3rd.
However, fans claim the rapper appeared on stage over two hours later than planned. Wayne apparently started performing around 11pm when the concert was reportedly scheduled to begin at around 9pm.
From there, some fans claimed he only performed for an hour before leaving. One fan wrote on Instagram, “Bro was supposed to come on at 8:50. We left at 10:45. he apparently came on at 11 for 1 hr. Such a scam.”
Another person said, “Fire your team and everyone around you and reboot yourself before they ruin your legacy”
Advising others, another fan said, “If you have tickets to future shows… sell them. We left at 10:30 last night in New Hampshire after waiting 2 hours. Rumours are he came on at 10:45 with an 11:00pm noise ordinance in the town. Such a disappointment. Seriously sell your tickets.”
Despite the complaints, Wayne took to Instagram to thank fans for a “fucking awesome” show without addressing the late arrival time.
The delay comes just days after Wayne failed to show up to his concert in Bangor, Maine, on June 30th.
Wayne issued an apology, writing, “Maine, I’m so sorry. After last night’s show started, I became too sick to safely perform, and we had to end the show early. The show is being rescheduled to July 28. Please hold on to your tickets, they will be honoured for the rescheduled date. More information will be emailed directly to ticket holders.”
He continued, “Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. I can’t wait to come back and give you the show you deserve.”
