Lil Wayne has revealed that he’s broken up with his 23-year-old girlfriend.

In May, it was reported that Weezy had got engaged to a mystery woman in her 20s from Indiana, with the partner later discovered to be Madi Cannon, also known as Madi K.

TMZ claimed that Wayne privately popped the question earlier this year. However, the New Orleans rapper has taken to social media to reveal that they’ve since broken up.

Wayne even went as far as saying that they were never engaged in the first place, despite reports saying otherwise.

Explaining the situation, he said, “I’m not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going with an amazing person, but, obviously, due to the temperature of today’s crazy world and culture, I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So we decided to part. Sucks, but no, I’m not engaged.”

The announcement comes just days after Madi, who has over 63,000 followers, posted a selfie with Wayne on Instagram, writing, “My love.”

Weezy has been with various women in the past, including Toya Johnson, Nivea, Trina, La’Tecia Thomas, Denise Bidot, Lauren London, Sarah Vivan, and Christina Milian.

He has four children, Reginae Carter, Dwayne Carter III, Kameron Carter, and Neal Carter, with four different mothers.

One of his baby mothers, London, once spoke about her relationship with Wayne, having known each since they were young.

“I’ve been knowing Wayne since I was 15,” he said. “Me and Wayne knew each other back in the day. No one knew who I was, I wasn’t acting, I was just probably just the light-skinned girl rolling with him at the time that no one really cared about. And because I’m so private, I’m not going to talk about that.”
