Lil Tjay claims he has no beef with Offset after Florida shooting
Lil Tjay claims he has no issues with Offset after being arrested in connection with his shooting.
The Migos rapper was shot at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida on April 6th, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Following the incident, Tjay was detained for participating in a fight and charged with a misdemeanour disorderly conduct-affray.
He stood for a mugshot at the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, and his bond was set at $500.
Nearly a month later, Tjay has stated that he doesn’t have any beef with Offset when asked about squashing any problems.
“I ain’t got no beef for nobody, brother,” he told TMZ in Beverly Hills. “My album’s coming out May 1st … They Just Ain’t You, it stands for TJAY. l’mma have a lot of controversial shit. If y’all want some controversial shit, stream the album.”
His new album, They Just Ain’t You, is scheduled to be released via TrenchKid Records, comprising 13 songs.
Speaking on the Offset incident, Tjay recently told Billboard, “I’m just as confused as everyone else about that. My lawyer told me not to touch on it too much. What I can say is the album will really hit home for my fans.”
Prior to his arrest, Tjay’s lawyer said, “We are issuing this release in regards to false rumours that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulting in non-life threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos.”
She continued, “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumours.”
