Lil Nas X enters rehab following naked arrest and felony charges

Lil Nas X has gone into rehab after being arrested in Los Angeles last month. The ‘Old Town Road’ artist was spotted naked in public and allegedly assaulted a police officer.

Nas (real name Montero Hill) was set to appear in court on September 15th after being charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

However, he missed the pre-trial hearing due to seeking treatment. According to Rolling Stone, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Shellie Samuels said, “Defendant is allowed to remain out of state as long as he remains in treatment. [If his] treatment changes, and he becomes outpatient, then we’ll talk.”

Following the hearing, Nas’ lawyer, Drew Findling, spoke more about the rapper entering rehab and having the support of those around him.

“You heard the ‘treatment’ word,” he said. “We’re doing what is best for Montero from a personal standpoint and a professional standpoint, but most importantly, for his well-being. He is surrounded by an amazing family, an amazing team of people that care about him and love him. And we’re just addressing those issues.”

He added, “It’s really as simple as that. He’s had a great life, and he’ll continue to have a great life. This is a bump that he’s going to get over.”

The next hearing is scheduled for November 18th. Nas broke his silence on the incident in August, stating that he was scared but that he would get through this tough period.

“Your girl is gonna be OK, y’all,” he said. “That was fucking terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl’s gonna be all right.”
