Lil Durk supporters threaten judge and prosecutor in murder-for-hire case

Fans of Lil Durk allegedly threatened the judge and one of the prosecutors in his murder-for-hire case. Details were revealed in court documents filed earlier this week.

Four voicemails were left on a Central District of California United States Magistrate Judge’s line that threatened retaliation if Durk and co-defendant Deandre Wilson are sentenced.

One of the voicemails said, “If they get life, I’m gonna burn this motherfucker down. Burn it to the ground. It’s not a game, bitch.”

Prosecutor, Assistant United States Attorney Ian Yanniello, also received a phone call from someone who said, “Free Durk, or we gonna shoot that motherfucker up.” When asked who they wanted to shoot, they replied, “Shit, your ass.”

As a result, the government filed a request for an anonymous jury. “Defendants’ supporters have already attempted to intimidate individuals connected to this case,” they wrote. Despite the threats issued, an investigation “uncovered no direct link to defendants.”

Durk is accused of conspiring with others to kill rapper Quando Rondo, resulting in the death of his cousin, Lul Pab.

He was hit with one count of conspiracy and one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death.

Durk is also facing one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

His trial is set to begin on January 20th, 2026, having been pushed back twice, but he recently attempted to dismiss the case.

Durk’s legal team said, “This indictment is impermissibly vague. It leaves the defence to guess as to the government’s theory of guilt, and it leaves the government free to change that theory as its cooperators’ stories morph over time to meet the demands of a conviction.”
