Lil Durk accused of placing bounties on six people to have them murdered
A confidential witness has accused Lil Durk of putting bounties on six people with the intent to have them killed.
Durk’s legal team recently filed a motion to remove evidence during his upcoming trial, which is set to begin on January 6th, 2026.
The Chicago rapper has remained in jail since October 2024 after being accused of conspiring with others to murder Quando Rondo, resulting in the death of Lul Pab (real name Saviay’a Robinson).
In response to his lawyers’ motion, prosecutors referenced an informant who alleged that Durk ordered hits on Rondo and others following the death of King Von.
According to XXL, the filing reads, “The affidavit further disclosed that CW-1 knew that defendant Banks placed other monetary bounties for the murder of people with whom defendant Banks was feuding, including six other individuals.”
It continued, “The affidavit also listed significant evidence corroborating CW-1’s account of defendant Banks’ involvement in S.R.’s murder.”
Durk was charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death.
He’s also facing one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.
If found guilty, Durk faces a possible life sentence. The trial has already been pushed back twice, but is set to proceed in just over two months.
He filed to dismiss the case on October 6th. In the filing, his attorneys said, “This indictment is impermissibly vague. It leaves the defence to guess as to the government’s theory of guilt, and it leaves the government free to change that theory as its cooperators’ stories morph over time to meet the demands of a conviction.”
