Kid Cudi explains why he is always the most hated person in rap

Beginning his career around 20 years ago, Kid Cudi is one of the most revered alternative hip-hop artists in music today. From early in his career, Kid Cudi set himself apart from other rappers by the way he presented himself and his music.

To this day, he creates and curates every project as an exciting work of art as opposed to just murder music, meaning he doesn’t fit the traditional hip-hop mould, which is why he stands out so easily.

However, although he is loved by his fans and lovers of alternative music at large, Cudi himself has expressed that he feels like hip-hop’s Public Enemy Number One. The Cleveland emcee and singer regularly takes to social media to vent his frustrations, and he has been caught in numerous strange feuds over the years.

In 2022, he took to X and entered a long rant, writing, “I am the most hated man in hip hop right now, it seems, But I’m one of the most blessed!!” Cudi continued, “Remember yall, Scott here to remind you don’t give f**k about what anyone says about you. F**k ’em.”

The Kids See Ghosts creator continued, but addressed his fans, and told them to remember no matter what others do you they “can’t stop your destiny from being fulfilled.” The black sheep of the culture also mentioned at some point in the near future he would write an unfiltered memoir entitled, CUDI to tell his story.

He reinforced his message of positivity, writing, “No matter what anybody tries to do, they can’t stop your shine, and they can’t stop your destiny from being fulfilled. I am proof. Watch me, y’all. Big bro will show you.”

Lupe Fiasco has hated Kid Cudi for years, merely based off the fact that the ‘Day N Nite’ lyricist attempted to mediate a painful exchange between Fiasco and Azealia Banks in 2015. Furthermore, it was alleged that during his split with Cassie, Diddy blew up Kid Cudi’s car after he supposedly heard Cassie had been confiding in him.

Despite being the musician that signed him, Kanye West has lashed out at the Entergalactic creator multiple times. However, although Cudi has had a target on his back as a metrosexual hip-hop artist, his perception as being Public Enemy Number One may be a little over the top as there are a slew of artists in the culture such as Soulja Boy, Kanye West, Azealia Banks, Tekashi 6ix9ine and more who have made themselves hated in hip-hop, especially by other MCs.
