Kendrick Lamar and SZA announce UK and European stadium tour
Kendrick Lamar and SZA have announced UK and European dates for their stadium tour following their performance at the Super Bowl last night on February 9th. The rapper and singer performed two songs together at the Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, in Louisiana as part of a medley of hits from the Compton rapper’s catalogue.
The duo are set to take over the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in July, along with other UK shows in Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff that same month. Aside from the UK, they’ll be touring all over Europe in July and August, stopping off in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, Lisbon, Barcelona, Rome, and many other major cities.
The UK and European dates are a continuation of the North American Grand National Tour, which takes place in April, May, and June. The stadium tour on the other side of the pond will include shows in Minneapolis, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Washington D.C., and many other major cities.
SZA joined Kendrick on stage on Sunday to perform ‘Luther’ from K. Dot’s GNX album, which dropped in November. Then, they moved on to their hit single ‘All the Stars’, which appeared on the Black Panther soundtrack in 2018 and peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100.
The St. Louis artist recently revealed she’d like to record a joint album with Kendrick. “I think that would be amazing,” she said on the Sherri chat show. “He’s such a genius, and part of his genius is him being so elusive and so mysterious.”
