Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show setlist
Kendrick Lamar headlined the Super Bowl halftime show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 9th as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs by a margin of 40-22. The Compton rapper hit the stage in the middle of the game to perform a medley of songs, including some all-star guest appearances.
K. Dot’s performance saw him perform tracks from his recent album GNX and 2017’s DAMN., as well as much-anticipated songs from his feud with Drake. Halfway through the show, SZA appeared on stage to perform their ‘All the Stars’ and ‘Luther’ collaborations, with Mustard also hitting the stage for ‘TV Off’.
Elsewhere, Samuel L Jackson narrated the show, introducing Kendrick at the beginning and intervening at several points throughout the setlist. “Salutations, it’s your uncle, Sam, and this is the great American game,” he said at the start of the show. Tennis legend Serena Williams also had a cameo role as a dancer.
Out of last year’s diss tracks towards Drake, Kendrick performed ‘Euphoria’ and his number-one single ‘Not Like Us’, with the crowd singing along to his brutal takedown of the Toronto rapper. “I want to perform their favourite song, but you know they love to sue,” he said on stage. Beforehand, many wondered whether the track would be performed due to the legal situation surrounding the record.
With his performance, Kendrick became the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. Dr Dre previously put on the show in 2022, but he was joined by the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and even Kendrick himself.
The 2025 Super Bowl had an attendance of over 65,000 people and typically draws in over 100 million viewers watching at home. Although artists aren’t paid to perform, the NFL often contributes around $10 million to assemble the show.
