Kanye West announces new album ‘WW3’ with controversial song titles
Kanye West only released his visual album Bully last month, but he already has plans to release the follow-up. Ye took to social media on April 2nd to announce that his new project is titled WW3.
The title, short for World War 3, was revealed alongside a handwritten tracklist posted to X. The upcoming album includes 11 songs with controversial titles, including ‘Heil Hitler’ and ‘Hitler, Ye and Jesus’.
Ye continues to support Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs with ‘Free Diddy’. He also aims at his former friend, the late Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh, with ‘Virgil Let Me Down’.
‘Cosby’ appears to be about Bill Cosby, the comedian accused of rape, drug-facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery, child sexual abuse and sexual harassment by over 60 women.
Another song is ‘Bianca’, named after Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori. ‘Jared’ seemingly refers to Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law who previously served as the Senior Advisor to the President of the United States.
The title track ‘WW3’ features an appearance from Dave Blunts, whom Kanye described as his “favourite rapper” in March. In a private message to Blunts, Ye said, “Do you mind if I connect you and my trainer? We need you to stay alive.” The message is about his severe health problems due to his weight.
Kanye’s antisemitic song titles follow his remarks about Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Nazi Germany, behind the genocide of six million Jews and millions of other victims. He wrote on X in February, “I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT BITCHES. IM A NAZI. I SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT PUSSIES.”
According to Akademiks, who interviewed Kanye last week, WW3 is set to be released on April 3rd.
