Kanye West wants Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs released from prison: “Free Puff”
Kanye West has voiced his support for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs amid the Bad Boy boss being charged with sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs is currently jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, but Ye demands his prison release.
The Chicago rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on February 7th to call Combs his “brother” and tell the authorities to free him from behind bars. Kanye has constantly defended Chris Brown over his Rihanna assault over the years and drew comparisons between the singer being cancelled and Combs’ imprisonment.
“FREE PUFF,” he began. “ALL THESE CELEBRITY N*GGAS AND BITCHES IS PUSSY YALL A WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY SHIT. FUCK ALL THAT WOKE SHIT N*GGAS ADDICTED TO COMPLAINING DO SOMETHING. WE ALL WATCHED THEM TRY TO CANCEL CHRIS BROWN AND AINT NOBODY DO NOTHING I WAS PUSSY THEN TOO CHRIS BROWN ITS TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF.”
Ye received backlash in 2018 for claiming that 400 years of slavery was a choice. This week, he continued to share his belief.
“SLAVERY IS A CHOICE,” he said. “THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT YALL FUCKING KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE FUCKING INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US THIS MY IDOL THIS MY HERO … ALL YOU PLEEEEEASE COME AT ME THATS HOW WE SPOT THE K*ONS LET THESE WHITE PEOPLE AND JEWISH PEOPLE TELL YOU WHAT TO DO.”
Kanye noted his issues with Combs in the past but bolstered his support for the Brooklyn native, claiming white people are using his legal situation to scare black people. He also said he would send money to his son, Justin Combs, after discovering he’s not allowed to earn money while in prison.
“PUFF GET ONE CALL A MORNING,” he wrote. “JUST FOR CLARITY THEY TYRING TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF PUFF ME AND MY BROTHER HAD OUR ISSUES BUT THESE WHITE PEOPLE TRYING TO USE PUFF TO SCARE N*GGAS IM NEITHER SCARED NOR BRAVE THIS JUST ME.
“I JUST FOUND OUT THAT PUFF IS NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE OR COLLECT MONEY WHILE HE’S LOCKED UP SO I’MA SEND HIS HALF OF THE MONEY TO JUSTIN. WHOS EVER AFTER PUFF WE GOTTA FIND OUT EXACTLY WHO THEY ARE OK COOL PLAY OFF THE GRID.”
He added, “MY HEART HAS NOT JUMPED NOT ONE MOMENT TODAY I GOT STEEL IN MY VEINS GOD MODE. PUFF WE LOVE YOU.”
