Kanye West labelled as “delusional” over riddiculous plans to build new city
Kanye West has had several projects over the years outside of music, and many of them have started off larger than life. In 2019, when he was conducting his own Sunday Services and working on Jesus Is King, the Chicago lyricist was insistent he was going to start his own church. However, that never happened.
The Graduation creator also started his own school, the Donda Academy. Still, that educational establishment ended up being closed down due to how poorly it was run by West. However, the rapper now has a new proposal named ‘The City of DROAM’.
The College Dropout icon initially planned to build this city in the Middle East. However, he now wants to build a metropolis in Los Angeles in the Beverly Hills neighbourhood, where he has recently bought a mansion worth $35 million.
Hip-hop media outlet TMZ recently unveiled that Ye may have a hard time fulfilling his “DROAM” dream as, after reaching out to several of his new North Beverly Park neighbours, one of them came back and labelled the emcee’s plans as “delusional.”
Furthermore, several residents in the area explained that the gated community has a homeowners association, and as such, West will need to accrue the necessary number of votes and will face a fair amount of pushback.
Although Kanye has a 20,000-square-foot, 11-bedroom mansion on a seven-acre plot, in terms of a city, West won’t have a lot of space to begin with, considering he only has one house. This North Beverly Park property was bought after the rapper previously sold his Malibu property at a loss earlier this year.
While speaking to TMZ, some neighbours who were aware of West admitted they were worried about him moving into the area due to his volatile temperament. Although some in the area were not so aware of West’s behaviour over the past decade, they were still worried about the potential disturbances and prying that may occur due to his celebrity status.
Another individual from the area who was highly aware of Ye hoped that he would stay on vacation instead of live in his house and disclosed that the best-case scenario would be him globetrotting with his wife, Bianca Censori.
At the moment, the pair are in Japan and have allegedly been trying naked therapy as, apparently, the couple feel “liberated”, and when they are naked, they can “totally bare their souls when they’re undressed.”
