J Cole and Cam’ron settle $500,000 lawsuit over royalties

J Cole and Cam’ron have settled their lawsuit over song royalties.

Cam sued Cole for $500,000 in October 2025, accusing him of failing to honour an agreement following their ‘Ready 24’ collaboration.

He alleged that he was denied full credit and compensation for the track and that Cole failed to return the favour with a feature or podcast appearance.

However, according to Rolling Stone, both parties filed a notice in federal court this week, informing that they’d “reached an agreement in principle to resolve the remaining claims.”

Despite the lawsuit only now being settled, their issues seemingly came to an end after Cole appeared on Cam’s Talk with Flee podcast in March.

During their conversation, Cole admitted he was “hurt” and “almost disappointed” by the lawsuit being filed against him.

The Dipset rapper revealed that he never intended to take the case to a trial, but instead wanted to use it as a way to get his attention.

‘Ready 24’ is the first time Cole and Cam collaborated, appearing on Cole’s 2024 mixtape, Might Delete Later. The song, produced by T-Minus, DZL, AzizTheShake and WU10, has over 25 million streams on Spotify.

In his lawsuit, Cam claimed that Cole was hesitant about appearing on the podcast as he felt he would have needed to speak about his beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Cole filed an official response in February, with his lawyer writing, “Plaintiff asked Cole to appear on his podcast, and he and Cole discussed the possibility of Cole appearing on plaintiff’s podcast, but no commitment was ever made by Cole to do so nor was there any agreement or condition related to ‘Ready 24’ to do so.”
