Isaiah Rashad announces ‘It’s Been Awful’ tour

Isaiah Rashad has announced that he’s going on tour this year.

The Chattanooga rapper released his new album, It’s Been Awful, in May, and is ready to take the project on the road.

On June 16th, Rashad revealed that he’ll be touring North America in August and September on Lil Sunny’s Awful Road Trip.

He’ll be performing in Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Detroit, Toronto, Chicago, Nashville, Memphis, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, and many other cities.

Each of the dates will be supported by Alemeda, who is also signed to Top Dawg Entertainment.

Released through TDE and Warner Records, It’s Been Awful debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart with features from SZA and Dominic Fike.

Speaking on the project, he told NPR, “My only obligation was to the essence of the art. Be as honest as you can be. Don’t try to make a hit. Or not necessarily hit, but don’t try to go in here and try to reinforce your masculinity. Fucking rah-rah.”

He continued, “It’s like, ‘All right, be soft, man.’ And not even like saying that’s a representation of any sides of sexuality, but you now have an opportunity to be thoughtful and not be so callous.”
