Hear J. Cole and Wale's new track ‘Poke It Out’

Wale and J. Cole have served up a Friday treat with their new single, ‘Poke It Out’.

The two immense talents have teamed up on a few occasions in the past, with their previous collaborations including ‘Beautiful Bliss’, ‘My Boy’, ‘Bad Girls Club’, and ‘The Pessimist’. It’s always dope to hear both stars on the same song, and ‘Poke It Out’ is another delight from the duo.

It will feature on Wale’s upcoming album Folarin 2, which is set to be released on 22nd October and is his first effort since 2019’s Wow… That’s Crazy. Other artists set to appear on the record include Maxo Kream, Yella Beezy, and Chris Brown.

On the track, Wale spits, “I just wanna see if you gon’ lie or you gon’ love me, I was gettin’ broads way before I got the money, honey, Since I been a star they don’t love me, The ceilings got stars when the star ain’t got no ceiling.”

While Cole raps, “I been the shit since I hit elementary, She know who run it, The one that keep it a hundred, To find a better n****, you gon’ have to live a century (A century), Evidently, the coach can’t bench me, The franchise player, I don’t know how to miss.”

Meanwhile, J. Cole has announced plans to bring back Dreamville Festival next year. The two-day event is returning to Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 2nd and 3rd, 2022. However, the line-up is yet to be announced, and tickets are not currently on sale.
