J. Cole reveals plans for Dreamville Festival 2022

J. Cole has shared his plans to bring back Dreamville Festival next year in a move that has got fans really excited.

If it were a perfect world, this would be the fifth edition of the festival. Cole had the event planned to begin in 2018 with performances lined up from Big Sean, SZA, and Young Thug. However, Hurricane Florence would stop it from taking place. It made its debut in 2019; however, the global pandemic then prevented the last two events from happening.

“It’s exciting to finally be back. Ever since we wrapped our first fest, we’ve been waiting to get back to the park with our Dreamville family. We had to come back bigger and better than before,” Dreamville Festival president Adam Roy said in a press release.

The festival’s website states, “Dreamville Festival’s ultimate goal is to not only have a positive and substantial economic and cultural impact on the city itself and the surrounding region, but also to be one of the most anticipated annual events in the city – one that is a perfect complement to the existing event landscape and cultural fabric of the City of Raleigh.”

The two-day event is returning to Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 2nd and 3rd, 2022. The line-up is yet to be announced, and tickets are not currently on sale.

Meanwhile, Drake recently joined Cole on-stage, and the Canadian said to the fellow rapper, “There’s way too many people in the world that think and know that J. Cole is at the top, in the pole position. I love you with all my heart, you’re my brother, one of my favourite artists, and I always appreciate you having me out here.”
